Red is the color of the "precious blood of Christ," the only covering for Sin. Berries delight us with bursts of flavor while providing healthy nutrients. They illustrate reproduction, abundance, fruitfulness. If found when tramping through the woods, they thrill us with the joy of discovery. Berries are a picture of possibilities, an illustration of potential for those living under the red, red blood of Jesus.
When I write I gain insight I wouldn't have received otherwise. Writing is a form of thinking and learning because it helps me be honest as it uncovers hidden motives and reveals problems with my logic. This blog is a vehicle for reflecting on life in general but will occasionally include series of posts that focus on specific topics. Family ranks at the top of my earthly interests. Other pursuits include reading, road trips, enjoying God's creation and, to a lesser degree, fashion and decorating.
